All characters start out in World of Warcraft with the ability to walk and run at the same speed. As characters gain experience and cross leveling thresholds that allow them to increase their travel speed, the game changes in subtle ways. The world gets smaller, terrain passes by more quickly, and when the time comes to fly, the world below you can disappear altogether. Perhaps you think they should put off flying for a few levels, or save up every bit of gold they can to purchase their first epic flyer as soon as possible. What about the opinion from other wow players?
Mounts are very good for leveling but my advice to lower new players is to now spend all your money on mounts you will survive I only had regularly flying at 160% until 1 month into being a lvl 85 I had like 6000 gold when I was lvl 80 but I didn’t spend it on the mount speed because I could live without it. 280% because I had 12000 gold so I bought 280% flying I didn’t not buy the next one because I was buying other things donating money to the guild and other various things and I agree with you doomchicken I kinda missed the old days but then again I never actually got high lvl back then I was like 7 or 8 and I didn’t even have my account and I even used to make humans for fun. I would like to see what it was like playing in the past.
Someone also think buying gear is a waste of precious resources that shouldn't be squandered on gear that you'll end up replacing in a level or two. You'll want every copper, silver, and gold you can muster come the appropriate levels to get the mounts and skill. At low levels the only thing you should be spending gold on is class reagents, food/drink, glyphs, skills, and mounts. Take a big pass on everything else.
There are some players sucked at saving/making money. I got to 60 and wanted my first flight mount, an awesome guild gave me 1k for training. I got in the same fix in WotLK and that set of training...I wish I had thought to save more money. So my tip is this: At an early level be aware of the fact that you should probably be saving money. Trust me, you'll want it later.
I think why you need to save money, if you can't farm wow gold as much as possible to satisfy your demand, you can buy wow gold online now, you can get 20k wow gold with $50, moreover, there are many legit and professional online wow gold buying site, but I like mmocarts.com and fedexwowgold.com most. Not to worry, you will be all right.
